About the event

Thin Air is a groundbreaking exhibition that showcases the work of seven international artists and collectives who use light, sound and space to create immersive and captivating experiences. The exhibition is hosted by The Beams, a new cultural venue in London's Royal Docks, from 17th March to 4th June 2023.

The exhibition explores the hidden complexities that shape the world we live in, using digital technology and large-scale installation to transform the spaces of The Beams. The artists featured in Thin Air are 404.zero, James Clar, Robert Henke, Kimchi and Chips with Rosa Menkman, Matthew Schreiber, S E T U P and UCLA Arts Conditional Studio. Their works range from generative and code-based art, to multi-channel video installations, lasers, LEDs and 3D printed elements.

Thin Air invites visitors to experience art at the boundaries of light, sound and space, and to question their engagement with digital culture. The exhibition is a transformative journey through the cavernous spaces of The Beams, taking advantage of over 55,000 square feet of vast interconnecting environments. Thin Air is a must-see exhibition for anyone interested in contemporary art and technology.
